4-Year-Old Pre-Kindergarten Enrollment (Universal Preschool)

The Cherry Creek School District offers free, part-time Pre-Kindergarten (Universal Preschool) at all of our elementary schools. To enroll, your child must be 4 years old on or before October 1 of the upcoming school year and live within the Cherry Creek School District boundaries*.
Enrollment for the upcoming school year opens the first Monday in February.
* Exceptions are made for families living outside CCSD boundaries who have a parent/guardian currently employed by the district, or have siblings approved to attend a CCSD school. See the Pre-K Placement Request for details.
Free half-day Pre-Kindergarten
Pre-Kindergarten is offered in a morning or afternoon session.
- Morning session hours are 7:45 a.m. - 10:55 a.m. (staggered drop off between 7:45 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.)
- Afternoon session hours are 11:50 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (staggered pick up between 2:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
- Morning and afternoon assignments are determined by the school's principal
- Transportation is not available for Pre-K students
Enrichment Program
Enrichment is an optional, fee-based program extending the quality educational experience to the other half of the Pre-Kindergarten day! Space is limited.
Enroll in Pre-Kindergarten (Universal Preschool)
Enrollment for Pre-Kindergarten is a two-step process!
Step 1: Complete the Cherry Creek Schools Enrollment Process
Step 2: Complete the Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) State Application
Complete the UPK State Application after you receive the confirmation email from Step 1 with your child's school assignment and student ID number.
Important notes:

Fill out the UPK Application accurately with your child’s full legal name and date of birth (as it appears on your child’s birth certificate).

Select only the school your child is assigned to within CCSD (in confirmation email from Step 1).

Choose "Student is already attending" as your child has already accepted an offer from CCSD.

CCSD offers 15-hour and 30-hour* programming based on space available.

*If applying for additional hours based on income, multi-language learner, or special education needs, ensure you complete the income section thoroughly.

Does your child need a health appraisal?
STRIDE Community Health offers health appraisals as well as other medical, dental, and behavioral services. An appointment is required.
